We’re seeking candidates for a seat on the PAMN Steering Committee.
If you’re committed to furthering your professional development and that of your fellow PAMN members and to enhancing understanding of cancer research and care, we invite you to become a candidate. (While the Steering Committee works hard, we also have a lot of fun!)
The deadline to register is Friday, June 29, at 5 p.m. ET.
Steering Committee members are expected to participate in the following:
- Annual conference planning meeting. The next one is July 15-17 in Oklahoma City. (Given the late notice, participation by telephone this year is acceptable.)
- Annual visit to the National Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C. The next is Oct. 27-29.
- Annual conference, which in 2019 will be April 8-11 in Oklahoma City.
- Ongoing efforts to plan and execute PAMN programming, including monthly Steering Committee conference calls and regular subcommittee conference calls.
Steering Committee members must have the full support of their respective cancer centers, as the institutions are expected to cover travel costs and time away from work.
